报告一:改进的地球系统模拟与数据同化(Improved earth system modeling with data assimilation

报告人:唐奇 博士

报告内容:Earth system models simulate different compartments like the ocean, atmosphere, surface water and ground water in one framework. Data assimilation for Earth system modeling is challenging due to the complexity of different compartments within the model. We explore the role of data assimilation into the integrated hydrological model and the coupled ocean-atmosphere model. For a river-aquifer system, am improved characterization of spatial-temporal varying riverbed hydraulic conductivity and estimation of river-aquifer exchange fluxes is found with the help of data assimilation. For a coupled ocean-atmosphere system, data assimilation can improve the prediction of the ocean as well as the atmospheric state using either the weakly coupled or the strongly coupled assimilation method.

报告人简介:Dr. Qi Tang is a postdoctoral researcher in the data assimilation group at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Germany. She received her bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics from China Agricultural University and master degree in Hydrology from Beijing Normal University. Afterwards she got her PhD degree in Hydrogeology from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Since September of 2017 she has been working in AWI for the project ‘Advanced Earth System Modelling Capacity – ESM (http://esm-project.net)’. Her research interests include ensemble-based data assimilation methods for earth system modeling, catchment scale groundwater-surface water interaction system and global ocean-atmosphere modeling.

报告二:地表蒸散发过程观测与模拟研究进展

报告人:马宁 博士

摘要:介绍报告人近年来在不同生态系统开展的蒸散发过程观测,蒸散发互补方法在青藏高原资料稀缺区的改进与应用,以及适用于大尺度蒸散发估算的免校正互补模型的发展、评估和关键区域蒸散发产品的建立。

报告人简介:马宁, 2017年在中科院青藏高原研究所获理学博士学位,同年入选支持率先行动中科院-中国博士后科学基金会联合资助优秀博士后项目继续在青藏所开展博士后研究。主要研究兴趣包括地表水文过程、地气相互作用等。以第一和通讯作者在Water Resources ResearchJGRJournal of Hydrology等期刊发表SCI论文11篇。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目、中国博士后科学基金等项目。受邀任GRLWRRJGRJH等十余个期刊审稿人,获AGU表彰,被评为2018年度WRR优秀审稿人。曾获中国科学院优秀博士学位论文奖(2018)、中科院院长优秀奖、博士生国家奖学金、朱李月华优秀博士生奖等。
