报告题目: Tackling the challenges at the interface of water, energy, and climate systems from a modeling perspective 报 告 人:Dr. Lu Liu 时 间:2021年10月15日(星期五)上午10:00-11:00 地 点:腾讯会议室(709950243) 报告人简介: Dr. Lu Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department at Iowa State University (ISU). Satisfying the demand for water, energy, and food under changing environment and socioeconomics is a central challenge of the 21st century. Dr. Liu’s group seeks to fill important knowledge gaps in water-energy-climate nexus and support sustainable resource planning via decision-making tool development and science-policy integration. Prior to joining ISU, Dr. Liu worked at Rice University as a postdoctoral researcher and investigated the design and planning of sustainable and resilient urban water system by developing quantitative modeling tools. Dr. Liu earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2017. She received an M.S. and an B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Oklahoma. Dr Liu is a determined optimist in the sustainable development of human society and is actively seeking private and public sector engagements in her research development. 陆地水循环及地表过程院重点实验室 |
