报告人简介：主要的研究领域包括水文气象学, 生态水文学，地下水补给, 和地下水污染治。具体的研究方向有(1) 区域和山区降水的时空分布以及它对大尺度气候异常的响应, (2) 雨水同位素和氯离子浓度分布及其在水文示综中的应用, (3) 植物用水与蒸散发的测量与模拟估计, (4) 植被改变对水文过程与山体地下水补给的影响, (5)城市热岛, (6) 地下水污染物（微生物病原体, 重金属, 营养物）的去除, (7) 遥感和统计方法在水文和环境科学中的应用。自2003年起，发表国际学术期刊论文50余篇。为20种国际学术期刊审稿，参加美国自然科学基金项目和澳大利亚研究委员会项目评审。2013-2014年为美国地球物理联合会生态水文学专业委员会成员。

报告摘要：

Rain isotopic composition in Adelaide aND Mount Lofty ranges and selected hydrological and ecohydrological applications

Rain water isotopic compositions are characterised at the monthly, event, and intra-event scales for Adelaide and the Mount Lofty Ranges, a coastal area in South Australia. The spatial pattern of isotopic composition of wet season precipitation is also examined. The results indicate that the patterns of event rain isotopic compositions are associated with and can be interpreted by synoptic weather systems, moisture sources, and sub-cloud evaporation, and that orographic effects (including both elevation and terrain aspect) play a significant role in influencing spatial patterns of rain isotopic composition in the Mount Lofty Ranges. These spatial and temporal patterns of rain isotopic compositions have been applied to investigate groundwater recharge sources, catchment hydrological processes (e.g., vegetation water use) in the study area.
