Massimo Rolle is associate professor of hydrogeochemistry at the Technical University of Denmark. He obtained his master and PhD (2006) in Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy. He has worked as postdoc and assistant professor at the University of Tuebingen, Germany (2007-2010). From 2011 to 2014 he has been Marie Curie Fellow in the subsurface hydrology group of Prof. Peter Kitanidis at Stanford University (USA).

His research interests focus on the fate and transport of contaminants in the subsurface. The main outcomes of his work have been extensively published in the main journals in the field of water and environmental research. He is associate editor of Journal of Hydrology.

Biao Jin is a postdoc in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. He completed his bachelor study in hydrology and water resources engineering in Wuhan University (2003-2007). He obtained his master (2009) and Ph.D (2014) degrees in environmental geosciences at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. His main research interest is to investigate fate and transport of organic pollutants in the environment using compound specific isotope analysis (CSIA). The outcome of his research has been mainly published in ES&T.
