报告人简介：

Dr Quanxi Shao is now a principal research scientist. He led his division into a new direction with his hydrological work, and has played an important scientific leadership role in representing CMIS in Water for a Healthy Country Flagship projects. Dr Shao’s current research activities in CSIRO are methodological developments with strong mathematical and statistical components in the environment of multidisciplinary research innovation, especially for hydro-climatology. His researches include data assimilation/data fusion (especially the development of rainfall mapping and downscaling by using satellite, ground radar and rain gauge data), uncertainty issues in modelling and forecasting, development of new modelling framework with all different uncertainty in model components (data, model structure and parameters), modelling extreme events (floods and droughts) in a changing environment (climate change and land use/cover change). He has published more than 80 papers in international SCI indexed journals and more than 1000 SCI citations and around 2000 Google Scholar citations (more than 1500 since 2010). About a half of them are in the top journals, including WRR, JH, HESS, and JGR.
